In Memoriam - Vale Maurice Green AM
Odyssey House NSW mourns the loss of Maurice Green AM, a stalwart of our community who recently passed away. Maurice’s influence on Odyssey was profound.
Family have requested donations in his name in lieu of flowers are made to Odyssey.
Maurcie served as a Board Member from 1994 to 2006, as Board Chair between 2003 and 2005 and was a steadfast supporter of the organisation for many years.
His leadership and dedication were instrumental in shaping our organisation and advancing our mission to support people with alcohol and drug issues.
As Chair, he oversaw many positive changes within the organisation, including the construction of the original cottages built to support parents and children through our family programs and a $2 million refurbishment of our Eagle Vale treatment centre in 2005.
In addition to his role at Odyssey, Maurice was founder and director of Andreasens Green, one of the country’s premier wholesale nurseries. His entrepreneurial drive and business acumen were instrumental in making a difference in the lives of others.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Maurice’s wife, Christina (Tina), and his family and friends.
Tina and the family have been longstanding supporters of Odyssey, with Tina contributing as a philanthropist and volunteer over many years. Maurice and Tina embody the values of kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
While we deeply mourn his passing, Maurice’s legacy will be remembered at Odyssey for many years to come.
