We want to offer everyone who calls the level of support they need

How your support helps
Sometimes, there's only one moment in a person's life when they muster the courage to pick up the phone and seek help.
Each day, we receive more than 70 calls from people seeking alcohol and drug rehabilitation and support. Our dedicated team is committed to answering them all.
But more than that, they want the time to answer each call with compassion and gentleness.
We know how difficult it is to make that call and we want to have the time to listen and give our best self to each client.
An unanswered or hurried call— could be an opportunity lost forever. It’s a missed opportunity, a lost chance to reclaim a life.
Join us in supporting Odyssey and help more families like Tamara's find hope and healing.
Together, we can make a difference.

Tamara* was at a crossroads. Her children had been removed from her care by the authorities and feeling utterly helpless and overwhelmed by pain and turmoil, she had turned to self-medicating as a coping mechanism.
Fast-forward 12 months and her life has taken a remarkable turn. Tamara is now clean and substance-free. She has her children back and in her words is the “happiest and healthiest I have been in many years”.
“With the support of Odyssey, I have been able to overcome and confront some of the biggest hurdles I’ve ever had to face,” Tamara explains.
“It would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the ongoing support I’ve received.”
For people like Tamara seeking support, knowing that others have walked a similar path and emerged on the other side provides hope for their own future.
Over 55% of our Odyssey team identify as having a lived alcohol or drug experience themselves or through a close family member or friend.
“Having someone to talk to that had lived through similar experiences and come out the other side, gave me hope for the future,” Tamara said.
“I have found people at Odyssey to be very easy to talk to, down to earth and above all non-judgmental.”
A significant incentive for Tamara to deal with her substance use was a desire to have her children returned to her care.
To support her in this process, Odyssey wrapped around parenting skills programs through our ‘Bringing Up Great Kids’ program where Tamara received practical, positive parenting education in a safe and supportive peer group.
Tamara boosted her confidence as a parent, which played a crucial role in helping her to regain custody of her children.
Your support enables Odyssey to provide vital services and programs, like our parenting programs, that help parents rebuild their lives and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
As we celebrate Tamara's journey of resilience and hope, we invite you to join us in supporting Odyssey's mission to transform lives and build stronger, healthier communities.
Together, we can provide positive outcomes for more families.
